27.09.2018 – една от най-натоварените лондонски подземни линии беше спряна заради 48-часова стачка на шофьорите. Членовете на съюза „Железопътен и морски транспорт“ организираха стачка, за да предизвикат диспут относно условията на заплащане и труд с мениджърите на метрото.

От “Транспортът за Лондон” (TfL) заявиха, че действието е “без значение”.

От друга страна от „Железопътен и морски транспорт“ настояват работещите в метрото да бъдат „третирани с достойнство на работното място и да не бъдат застрашени от изгонване, когато вземат свободен ден от работа след ситуации като самоубийства, например“.

Ето и какво е заплащането на работещите в метрото, по колко часа работят и какви са техните отговорности.

Заплащане

През 2015 година новопостъпилите на работа квалифицирани машинисти започват със стартова заплата 49 000 паунда годишно, като след това тя може да бъде увеличена между 50 000 и 60 000 паунда след 5 години.

В началото на обучението, което продължава 12-16 седмици, обучаващите се водачи получават около 24 000 паунда, които се вдигат до 30 000 паунда, след като се покрият някои критерии. Водачите също така имат право да пътуват безплатно в Лондон, както и техният партньор, и могат да се пенсионират, когато навършат 50 години.

Работно време и отпуск
