Квалификацията “Първа долекарска помощ на работното място” е предназначена за хора, които възнамеряват да работят в екип за оказване на спешна помощ на работното място в случай на инцидент или заболяване по време на работа, в съответствие с разпоредбите относно здравето и безопасността от 1981 г.

Според тези разпоредби, работодателят трябва да предостави на работещите подходяща екипировка, работна среда и адекватна помощ при спешен случай. Тези регулации са в сила за всяка компания, включително и за компаниите, в които работят по-малко от 5 души, както и за самонаетите лица. Тъй като лицата, които ще се обучават, ще получат регулирана квалификация, работодателите могат да резервират този курс и да бъдат сигурни, че предоставят качествено обучение за оказване на първа помощ.

Основната роля на работещите в екипите за оказване на спешна помощ на работното място е да съхранят живота на пострадалия, да предотвратят влошаването на ситуацията и да направят необходимото до пристигане на професионална помощ.

Курсът обучава учещите се в жизненоважните умения, необходими за диагностициране и първа помощ при наранявания или заболявания, като акцентът е поставен върху решаването на ситуации, застрашаващи живота, докато не пристигне професионална помощ.

Курсовете са ориентирани приоритетно към придобиване на практически умения. Теоретичната информация е поднесена на достъпен език. Всички правилни действия и мерки са систематизирани стъпка по стъпка в ясни и логични алгоритми, което намалява стреса по време на инцидент и свежда до минимум възможността за допускане на грешки.
